Tim Tebow shared a hard truth that will ultimately help us become who God has called us to be.

“Not every one of us has a chance to be the best, it’s just the truth,” the former NFL star explained. “I hear people say it, all the time. ‘You know, if you believe you can be the best, you can do it.’ No, it’s not true.”

Although most people desire to be great at a lot of things, we all have different gifts from God.

“Listen, I know a lot of people that could never beat LeBron James one-on-one in basketball, but every single one of us has a chance to be our best, and I think that’s a worthy end goal with my life, with my opportunities, with what God has given me I only one chance. I only have one body, one opportunity. I want to make the most of that and I also believe that’s part of stewardship.”

He added, “It’s taking every single one of those and trying to maximize it for his glory and maximize it and be able to make a difference in other people’s lives.”

Tebow emphasized in the caption of the video, “God has entrusted each of us with unique gifts and opportunities. Stewardship is taking those gifts and using them fully, not to compete with the world, but to glorify God and make a difference in the lives He places in front of us.”

People in the comment section agreed with his message.

“Preach!!! 🔥👏👏👏 maximize our unique gifts for his glory & to make a difference in other people’s lives 🔥” one person said.

Another person added, “Not to compete, but glorify God. That part 🔥”

The apostle Paul reminds us that God gives each of us different but equally important talents and abilities. 1 Corinthians 12: 18-20 says, “But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.”

Tebow frequently uses his platform to encourage others. Recently, he reminded his followers that “Comfort never produces calling. If it’s always easy, it might not be where God is going you.”

Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Tebow reminds us that God has a very special and very specific plan for each of us.
