Wait, Who Is Coming Back to NCIS?

NCIS‘ newest episode is going to have fans screaming their heads off, according to series star Brian Dietzen.

In a new interview with TV Insider, Dietzen teased fans about the upcoming episode and that it will include some returning characters.

“There are,” Dietzen told TV Insider. “In fact, I just worked with one, and I’m not allowed to tell you, but I’ll tell you it’s someone from NCIS‘s past, and it’s going to be fantastic.”

The two characters that fans want to see most are Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote De Pablo).

“From what I hear, they had an absolutely wonderful time and I cannot wait to see it,” Dietzen said of his friends. “And if Jimmy were able to pop up on the screen there, I would love for it to happen, but I’m afraid to say it’s not going to happen in their first season.”

One of the show’s latest episodes includes a visit from Jimmy Palmer’s daughter, Victoria.

“She was so wonderful and we were so lucky to have her out on our set and she made such an impression on us,” Dietzen told TV Insider in an exclusive interview. “We knew that we had to have her back. And it’s really nice to see this character who’s naturally progressing into her early teenage years and the things that all fathers go through with a teenage daughter, the struggles, but also the connection and the beauty of it. I really appreciated that our writers weren’t trying to fall back on like, ‘Oh, here’s the frustrated dad with the teenager.’ A lot of it was really based in how close they are and how much they love each other in spite of having some of those family dynamics.”

In addition to Tony and Ziva, several characters have been written off the show but have the opportunity to make a comeback.
