WHEN CALLS THE HEART added a new guest to the lineup for Season 13.

Austin Landon, the grandson of LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE star Michael Landon, plays Elmore Briggs, “a mountie who brings the polygraph to town — wonder who gets into trouble,” TV Fanatic asked.

Michael Landon Jr., Austin’s father and WCTH’s executive producer, shared on Instagram how honored he was to have his son join him on set.
“So proud of my son Austin Landon! Tune in to this week’s episode of WHEN CALLS THE HEART to see him as Mountie Briggs, who arrives in Hope Valley with some exciting new technology. Can’t wait for everyone to see his performance at this special air time, Saturday at 10/9c!” he wrote.
WHEN CALLS THE HEART has officially been renewed for Season 14.
“Production will begin next year and for a 2027 return. Additionally, original cast member Lori Loughlin (CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, ON CALL) is set to reprise her role of Abigail Stanton and will appear in six of the 12 episodes,” Hallmark reported.
“Since the series’ debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties,” Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming, said in a statement. “At its core the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity and connection, which is also the central theme of WHEN CALLS THE HEART. We felt that Season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series.”
And while it’s fun to see old and new faces, WHEN CALLS THE HEART stars credit the series’ longevity to its devoted fans.
“The longevity of a show like WHEN CALLS THE HEART is so rare,” star Chris McNally told Good Housekeeping last month. “The show has kind of become a part of me, and I think it shows that Hallmark has one of the most loyal fan bases out there. They really care about WHEN CALLS THE HEART and continue to show up and invest their time to watch these characters. I also enjoy attending events where you see everybody and get to know how passionate they are that they’re willing to travel from all over to meet you. It’s definitely a blessing, that’s for sure.”
The newest episode of WHEN CALLS THE HEART, featuring Austin Landon, will air tomorrow at 10/9c.
