Why BACHELOR Star Ben Higgins and Fiancée Jessica Clarke Won’t Move In Together Before Marriage

By Movieguide® Staff

The former BACHELOR star Ben Higgins and his bride-to-be, Jessica Clarke, recently purchased their first home together in Denver, Colorado. However, they won’t live together before their wedding.

Higgins, 31, announced the exciting news on Instagram and shared a photo of the couple sitting together in the empty house eating pizza.

“Jess and I now own a house together (staying in Denver)! We don’t own any furniture but we are hoping Mr. Claus and Mrs. Claus send some our way this Christmas!” he wrote last week. “Until then, our and probably next many dinners in the new house will be on the floor, just the way it should be!”

Although Clarke will immediately move, Higgins clarified that he would be moving into their home after their wedding because of their decision to wait until marriage to have sex.

“Also, before you start blowing up the comments this will be Jess private VIP party pad until the wedding, then I move in to crash the place!” said Higgins. “Let the fun begin!”

Clarke added: “Last week I started the moving process to Colorado and Into our FIRST HOME! The house is empty, but it’s ours! I’ll be living in it and making it into our little home until Ben joins me after the wedding. I can’t wait to share all of the little projects.”

The couple started dating in 2018 after Higgin’s messaged Clarke through Instagram.

In March, Clarke announced their engagement over Instagram.

“I don’t remember everything you said, but I know that I said yes. I woke up in a dream today and I get to live in this dream every day from now on (eeeep),” Clarke wrote.

“I was super nervous. She’s my best friend, my partner and I love her. I was nervous to kind of do this whole thing in front of her. I wasn’t anxious, it’s just a big moment!” Higgins told Entertainment Tonight.

Former BACHELOR Ben Higgins got candid about his girlfriend Jess Clarke and how the two use their faith to navigate a long-distance relationship…

Higgins, who lives in Denver, Colorado, and Clarke, who resides in Nashville, Tennessee, are OK with living in different cities as of now. However, they’ve set a timeline for when they will be moving closer to one another.

Higgins added, “We’ve lived apart based on our own moral and personal choices and history of what we’ve done in relationships, what’s worked and what hasn’t.”

…These long phone chats gave the couple a chance to cover their commonalities, which is a commitment to their Christian faith and charity.
