Why This DUCK DYNASTY Star Calls Her Daughter a Princess

Sadie Robertson Huff is embracing her eldest daughter’s love for princesses — because she is one.
“Throwback to when we went to Disney this year…there’s just something about seeing your daughter be the princess that she is ?,” Huff captioned a video of her daughter, Honey, hugging Cinderella and getting dolled up like a princess.
“Honey is obsessed with princesses, and it’s so fun to get to tell her that she IS a real-life princess because her Heavenly Father is a King!!!” Huff said. “Grateful our identity is Christ is even better than we could imagine! catching a glimpse of it would make you tear!”
Huff knows well that God calls everyone his children and understands the importance of placing identity in Christ.
“One of the central themes Sadie Robertson Huff speaks about is identity,” For Every Mom wrote. “In a world that constantly tries to define people by their appearance, popularity, and achievements, Sadie challenges young women to find their true identity in Christ alone. She stresses that no amount of social media likes, outward beauty, or success can define a person’s worth; instead, our value comes from being created in the image of God.”
She spoke on the topic at the Passion 2022 conference.
“We’re trying to study the Enneagram to tell us about who we are instead of studying the Word of God to find out who we are,” she said at the conference. “We’re trying to take all these personality tests to lead us and guide us through our life instead of leaning on the Holy Spirit,” she said. “So I have to ask myself ‘What do I identify more with? What [a personality test] says about me or what God says about me?’”
She quoted from the movie WAR ROOM: “He is light, He is love, He is longevity and He is the Lord. He is goodness and power and faithfulness and He is God. He is holy and righteous and powerful and pure,” she quoted. “He is your God and that is who you belong to.”

She’s never confused about her identity because she knows who she is — a child of God.
“When I get a glimpse of who my God is and realize THAT is who I belong to…I then begin to understand who I am and what I am called to do,” she said. “I am so grateful to serve a God who doesn’t change like culture…a God who is the same yesterday today and forever.”
