Yankees Star Celebrates God’s Love in His Adoption Story: ‘Incredible’

Fans know New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge for his big swings and long throws, but many don’t know that he was adopted as a newborn — something he thanks God for.
“Aaron Judge was born on April 26, 1992. Patty and Wayne Judge adopted Aaron as a newborn, on the second day of his life, April 27, 1992. Judge’s parents call that day a miracle,” Adoptions With Love reported.
“I feel they kind of picked me…that God was the one that matched us together,” the baseball star told the New York Post.
He looks at his adoption story and sees it as a reflection of God’s love.
CBN Sports asked Judge, “The Bible is full adoption imagery. Considering your journey, does that help you understand God’s love more?”
“Definitely,” he replied. “His love is incredible. It has no end. The position I was in, being adopted by my parents, for them to pick me, choose me, to put me in their lives, it’s incredible.”
“If you would have told me back then when I was 5 years old,” he continued. “I’d be in a World Series with the Yankees and be the captain of the Yankees, I probably never would have believed you. But just having His blessings, keeping the faith through good times and bad times, and knowing He’s always with me that’s definitely helped me get to this position.”
Judge credits everything about who he is to his parents.
“I know I wouldn’t be a New York Yankee if it wasn’t for my mom,” he said. “The guidance she gave me as a kid growing up, knowing the difference between right and wrong, how to treat people and how to go the extra mile and put in extra work, all that kind of stuff. She’s molded me into the person that I am today.”
Patty echoed, “We’re more blessed than he is. Both of our children are adopted. Aaron has an older brother, John, 29, who is teaching English in Korea, and we’re real proud of him, too. Really, it was all meant to be.’’
