GOOD LUCK TO YOU, LEO GRANDE

What You Need To Know:

GOOD LUCK TO YOU, LEO GRANDE is a comical drama about a 55-year-old widow who hires a gigolo to help her achieve sexual satisfaction for the first time. Nancy endured a long-term marriage where her husband never tried to meet her desires. She hires Leo, a sex worker in his 20s, to help her try everything she’s fantasized about to achieve satisfaction. At first, Nancy is awkward and shy. So, in their first two meetings, they wind up only talking about sex and their personal lives. As Nancy becomes more comfortable with Leo, their final two meetings are packed with implied and graphic sex.

LEO GRANDE is shocking, particularly because Emma Thompson, who plays Nancy, has developed a lengthy career playing appealing characters who rarely engage in immoral behavior. Her switch to a sex-driven woman is disappointing, to say the least. As Leo, Daryl McCormack matches up well with the two-time Oscar winner in a movie mostly focusing on just the two of them in extremely limited settings. GOOD LUCK TO YOU, LEO GRANDE is immoral, abhorrent pagan trash from start to finish.

More Detail:

GOOD LUCK TO YOU, LEO GRANDE is a comical drama on Hulu about a 55-year-old widow who hires a male sex worker, gigolo to help her achieve sexual satisfaction for the first time ever, and the relationship builds between them over multiple meetings. GOOD LUCK TO YOU, LEO GRANDE is an utterly immoral, abhorrent movie that distorts the gift of sexuality repeatedly in every way imaginable.

Nancy Stokes (Emma Thompson) is a 55-year-old widow who’s never had an orgasm, having endured a long-term marriage where her husband never tried to meet her desires. She hires Leo Grande (Daryl McCormack), a sex worker, gigolo in his 20s, to help her try all the positions she’s fantasized about and hopefully attain her ultimate goal.

At first, Nancy is extremely awkward and shy. So, their first two meetings wind up only having lots of talk about sex and the personal lives and pasts of Leo and Nancy. However, as Nancy becomes more comfortable with Leo, their final two meetings are packed with implied and also graphic sex and complete nudity from both protagonists.

LEO GRANDE is shocking, particularly because Emma Thompson has developed a lengthy career centered on appealing characters who rarely if ever engage in immoral behavior. Her switch to a sex-driven woman who constantly utters sexual terms is disappointing to say the least. As Leo, Daryl McCormack shows good acting chops in the rare dialog scenes that aren’t sexual in nature. It’s clear he’s a solid performer, matching up well with two-time Oscar winner Thompson in a movie that almost completely focuses on just the two of them in extremely limited settings.

With its utterly pagan philosophy of pursuing sexual pleasure at all costs, GOOD LUCK TO YOU, LEO GRANDE is a trashy movie about lust that glamorizes prostitution to boot. It’s seriously immoral and abhorrent from start to finish and should be avoided by everyone with an ounce of decency or wisdom.
