What You Need To Know:
The story between Shy, Andrea and Andrea’s brother is a unique one with a unique setting. The rest of the movie is a little familiar, however, though the relationship between the businessman and his daughter is a bit new. Despite some positive elements, HAVEN has a Romantic worldview, brief references to sexual immorality and drugs, and more than 200 obscenities and profanities. Thus, its content is excessive and worthy of being avoided.
Content:
(RoRo, B, C, Ho, LLL, VV, S, N, AA, DD, MM) Meandering, unfocused Romantic worldview with some moral elements and a scene where a mother encourages her son to come with her to church but the son is not interested and fornicates with his girlfriend, plus a minor character is homosexual; at least 192 mostly strong obscenities, seven strong profanities and three light profanities; brief, strong violence such as young man beaten up, young man’s face is deliberately scarred by violence, and man shot to death; implied scenes of fornication and young man tries to seduce young woman tourist; upper and rear male nudity; alcohol use and drunkenness; brief smoking, illegal drug use and references to gangs selling drugs (including marijuana) on islands; and, fraud, stealing, lying, and racism.
