“If you go, its going to be bad,” cries the female lead of SWITCHBLADE SISTERS as she warns her boyfriend gang leader to avoid a showdown with a rival band. This is the same advice I give to you about the re-release of this 1975 movie, which tells the story of the Dagger Debs. The Dagger Debs are the women’s auxiliary to the local high school gang, The Silver Blades. The Silver Blades practice extortion, racketeering, drug dealing, and prostitution. When they hear that a rival gang is moving into their school because of another school closing, they plot to solidify their position. Trouble follows. When newcomer Maggie shows up and challenges the authority of Dagger Deb leader Lace, sparks and daggers fly.

While some think this movie was ahead of its time in portraying independent women, this film is ultimately morally bankrupt. There are no good characters in this movie, only different levels of evil. Containing exploitation levels of sex ,violence and language, its unbelievably poor production quality makes it a very uncomfortable and uninteresting viewing experience. SWITCHBLADE SISTERS can at best hope to attract cult viewers who want to see this movie on the big screen. Lacking them, you probably will never see or hear of this movie again.
