At the age of 39, coaches and others believe that Scott Beck’s playing days are behind him. Beck has a close relationship with the high school team’s coach, Nick Martin, but his father’s health is declining, and he can barely make ends meet to pay rent.

Beck was an amazing player in high school but feels like he was given up on by the local professional basketball team, the Silver Knights. Beck also feels like his ex-girlfriend, Ryan Aikens, gave up on him too just before they planned to get married. However, that was 20 years ago, and Beck is ready to move on from his dreams of playing in the league.

To his surprise, Beck learns that Ryan took over as the owner of the Silver Knights from her father. He also discovers she is hosting open tryouts ahead of the upcoming season after two players are let go due to criminal activity.

Despite doubts from everyone, including himself, Beck decides to give his dream one more shot. He impresses at the first tryout and receives a call from Ryan notifying Beck they want him to return for a second day of tryouts.

Word spreads around the town of Beck’s Cinderella story back to the Silver Knights. With the school behind him and a rekindled fire between him and Ryan, Beck believes that it’s God’s plan for him to play professional basketball.

However, after a series of setbacks, Beck finds himself back where he started, or so he thinks. As his faith wavers, will Beck put his trust in God and lean into the people around him who still support him, or will he give up on God, his dream and himself after another apparent failure?
