More Detail:

THE GIFT OF PEACE is a drama on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries about a widow who finds hope and a way back to her passion for painting, with the help of a community support group at a local church. THE GIFT OF PEACE has positive references to faith and is a powerful movie about how people can hold both sadness and happiness together at Christmas time but can find solace and healing in church with the help of other people.

The movie is all about the true meaning of Christmas. It focuses on two grieving widowed spouse’s, Traci and Michael’s, journey of grief at Christmas.

GIFT OF PEACE opens with Traci working on her Christmas painting that is her first Christmas painting since her husband, Greg’s passing two years prior. Joyce, her best friend, and manager, suggests Traci join a grief support group at Grace Community Church to help her in her grief journey. While out visiting the community Christmas market, she runs into Michael while they’re both looking at the same angel ornament. Traci is having trouble getting back into both going to church and prayer. She is semi-open to going to the grief support group. She gives it a first try. However, when Michael begins to pray, she leaves.

Michael and Traci are the focus of THE GIFT OF PEACE, but the supporting characters Ethel, Regina and Justin also have important roles to play. The older lady, Ethel, is grieving the loss of her last husband, who played the community Santa Clause while she played the community Mrs. Clause up until his death. Regina is grieving the loss of her mother, with whom she sang together in the church choir a few months prior. Justin is a law school student who became a baker after his grandmother passed. Meanwhile, Michael is grieving his late wife’s death two years ago in an automobile accident.

The story in THE GIFT OF PEACE is a redemptive one. The characters are always trying to serve their community at Christmas. Together, they find their way back to the true meaning of Christmas.

THE GIFT OF PEACE is a Christmas movie that audiences will love and want more even when the movie is over. This is a powerful movie about how everyone holds both sadness and happiness together at Christmas time but can find solace and help from other people. The stars do a great job showing that everything isn’t always neat and tidy. For example, people need to be able to find their own path again even though they really don’t always know where their lives are headed. Healing takes both time and hope as well as support from other people. The town setting of THE GIFT OF PEACE is a focal point that works well in the storyline. The movie includes positive references to faith, church, Bible, and the meaning of Christmas, including the gift of peace that faith brings. THE GIFT OF PEACE is a must see for media-wise viewers.
