What You Need To Know:

VALOR RISING is suspenseful, exciting and unexpected. After three gruesome stabbing murders, the police in a small New England town believe they have a serial killer on their hands. Four detectives are sent to stop this psychotic killer they call the Dark Disciple. As the victims mount up, most of them are young drug users who look like Goths. A couple of other victims are unexpected, like a local pastor. Detective Steve was the top man on the force until his wife and daughter died in a car accident. When he faces the Dark Disciple’s cruelty, he comes to his senses and returns to his faith in God. He starts training to be a martial arts expert. Can he defeat this wicked villain?

Without any foul language, sex, or on-screen drug use, VALOR RISING is a very exciting, suspenseful horror movie. It has some very positive evangelistic elements. There are some structural problems. The narrating detective sometimes intrudes on the plot. The music and audio is distracting as well at certain points. Even with its flaws, however, VALOR RISING is an entertaining evangelistic movie.

More Detail:

VALOR RISING is suspenseful, exciting, quirky, and unexpected. It has a DRAGNET police detective narrator that harkens back to the 1950s. The detective is telling the audience about a psychotic killer in a small New England town that most of the industry has vacated.

After three gruesome stabbing murders, the police believe they have a serial killer on their hands. Detectives Nick, Jim, Steve, and Terri, the only woman in the group, are sent to find and stop this psychotic killer they call the Dark Disciple. As the victims mount up, most of them are young drug users who look like Goths. A couple of other victims are unexpected, like the pastor of a church.

While the detectives investigate the case, there’s much suspense, but they don’t seem to be getting anywhere. Two glory hound private detectives come to town to solve the murders. They find the Dark Disciple is part of a smuggling operation.

Meanwhile, Detective Steve was the top man on the force until his wife and daughter died in a car accident. When he comes face to face with the cruelty of the Dark Disciple, he comes back to his senses and to his faith in God. He starts training again to be a martial arts expert who might have a chance of defeating this wicked villain.

Without any foul language, sex, or on-screen drug use, VALOR RISING is a very exciting, suspenseful horror movie. It has some very positive evangelistic elements. There are some structural problems, however. The narrating detective sometimes intrudes on the plot. The music and audio is distracting as well at certain points. Even with its flaws, however, VALOR RISING is an entertaining evangelistic movie.
