Babysteps! I could drop to my knees with gratitude! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This hasn’t been easy, the level of fear & uncertainty I have experienced this year rocked me to my core. The positive Amy you all know & expect was often times broken down & terrified. I couldn’t even think about walking again because since I lost the main artery to my knee & my lower leg I honestly had no idea if I’d ever be able to even wear my leg again, that’s how traumatizing this all was. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So to be standing here today on my own two feet amazes me even if I feel like a baby giraffe learning to walk!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m so thankful to get this far & I realize gratitude is what has gotten me through the hardships of my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ People always ask me “how do you stay so optimistic?!” & I’m realizing that “perspective” has been a huge part of it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you have the perspective of nearly losing your life, every moment you’re alive feels like a blessing. Every moment I can stand after thinking I never would again is such a gift! Realizing every moment we wake up is a miracle you can’t help but to feel blessed! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My sweatshirt says it all! What are you thankful for today?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sweatshirt from @theshopforward @teamtoyota #thankful #blessed #babysteps #strattourimposssible
