TROLLS is an adorable animated movie. The whole family will laugh and sing along. The movie has a clear plotline that flows well. Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake have great voices for animation and give life to their characters. TROLLS has a strong moral, redemptive worldview about sacrificing yourself for your friends and love bringing joy. The main character wants to help others and bring joy to all those around her, even if it puts her in danger. The movie has one adult innuendo as a joke and 3 OMG's. Otherwise, TROLLS is extremely clean and worthwhile, a feel-good delight.

TROLLS is a delightful animated comedy about the famous Troll dolls, in a story about Princess Poppy trying to save her friends from the troll eating Bergens, with assistance from an unhappy, fearful troll named Branch. TROLLS is an adorable, fun, funny animated movie the whole family can enjoy.
As the movie opens, the town where the trolls live has been taken over by mean, large troll eating monsters, called Bergens. One important day in the Bergen year is the time when a young Bergen can eat a troll for the first time. They believe Bergens can only be happy by eating a troll.
However, when the Bergen King’s son, Prince Gristle, goes to eat the troll, which the Bergen Chef has prepared, they discover all the trolls have escaped. The Chef is banned from the Bergen city, while the trolls escape to safety, with the help of their King, King Peppy.
Years go by, and King Peppy’s daughter, Princess Poppy, is preparing to become Queen of the trolls. Princess Poppy decides to throw a huge party commending her father for leading the trolls in to safety. Only one troll is weary of this type of commotion, an unhappy troll named Branch, who often discourages parties in fear the Bergens will find the trolls.
It turns out Branch is right this time. Chef Bergen hears the trolls partying, finds them and captures some of Princess Poppy’s best friends. The Chef’s plan is to take the trolls back to Bergen town in order to regain her stature in the town. Princess Poppy asks Branch to help her, believing he’s the only one who’s prepared for this type of disaster.

The main character wants to help others and bring joy to all those around her, even if it puts her in danger. The movie does have one adult innuendo as a joke and 3 “OMG’s”. Otherwise, it’s a very clean feel-good movie for all ages.
