3 Famous Twin Siblings in Hollywood

By Tess Farrand, Contributing Writer

1.    Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen: The two appeared on FULL HOUSE in 1985, just nine months after being born! Ever since then, their careers have skyrocketed. During the adolescents not only were Mary-Kate and Ashley starring on prime-time television, but they also launched movies, books and beauty merchandise. At the height of their fame, there was not a person who didn’t at least know their names… The Olsen twins starred in movies like NEW YORK MINUTE, THE CHALLENGE and IT TAKES TWO. In 2004, they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! After attending NYU for college, Mary-Kate and Ashley are now fashion moguls and founded Elizabeth and James, which sells high fashion clothing and accessories.

Did you know? Elizabeth Olsen of THE AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and GODZILLA is their little sister…

2.    Dylan & Cole Sprouse: THE SUITE LIFE OF ZACK AND CODY premiered on The Disney Channel in 2005 when the twin boys were just ten years old. The success of the series landed them a spin-off, THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK in 2008. But, after a few years on TV, the pair went to NYU, like the Olsen’s, to continue their education. After graduating, Cody landed a role on Netflix’s RIVERDALE, and Dylan currently has several projects in post-production.

Did you know? Cole and Dylan are quite active on Twitter. Collectively the brothers have 12 million followers on Twitter and continuously crack jokes at one another that get over 10,000 likes and retweets.

3.    Tia Mowry-Hardrict & Tamara Mowry – Housley: SISTER SISTER stole the hearts of many families in the 80’s and 90’s and had a five-year run on TV. The sister duo, like Dylan and Cole, continued their education at Pepperdine University in Malibu before starting their own families. Audiences got to peek inside their lives with TIA AND TAMARA, their reality series that no longer is on air. Tamara was the host of THE REAL talk show on CBS while Tia continued her acting credits and wrote her cookbook called Whole New You: How Real Food Transforms Your Life, for a Healthier, More Gorgeous You and pregnancy book Oh, Baby! Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another. Fun fact, Tia and Tamara have a famous brother, Tahj Mowry who is an actor too and starred with them in the Disney Channel movie SEVENTEEN AGAIN!

Did you know? Tia and Tamara are Christians? Yes! How cool right? Tamara even openly spoke about the struggles of saving herself for her husband until marriage. The two are even close pals with Candace Cameron Bure and recently celebrated their 40th birthday with her.
