In THE ENGAGEMENT BACK-UP on UPtv, Luna loves her family’s maritime museum, but it isn’t doing well financially. The museum needs some press. Meanwhile, Luna’s assistant, Joanne, suggests they could rent out the museum for weddings. They decide to take photos of Luna in a wedding dress, looking like she’s getting married near the museum. However, a famous bachelor, Jackson Valentine, photobombs the photos. Joanne accidently sends the photos to all the major press, who think Luna and Jackson are engaged. They hype the story because Jackson is a famous name. Will the press learn the truth? Will Luna save the museum?

THE ENGAGEMENT BACK-UP tells an entertaining, funny story in a beautiful location. The acting isn’t always the best, but the story makes up for that slight flaw. THE ENGAGEMENT BACK-UP has some Romantic elements where the main characters keep an accidental lie going for their own personal benefit. Eventually, however, the characters learn that telling the truth is better. THE ENGAGEMENT BACK-UP also has some pro-family content that’s morally positive. There’s no foul language or other objectionable content.

THE ENGAGEMENT BACK-UP is a romantic comedy airing on UPtv where a museum owner and a famous playboy team up to keep spreading a false but lucrative story that they’re engaged. THE ENGAGEMENT BACK-UP tells an entertaining, well-structured story with a moral worldview promoting family and truth, but it has some Romantic elements about spreading a lie for personal gain and trying to manifest one’s dreams.

Luna deeply loves her family’s maritime museum, but it’s not doing well financially. She took over the museum after her father passed away. To save the museum, her assistant, Joanne, comes up with an idea that they could rent out the museum for weddings. They decide to take photos of Luna in a wedding dress, looking like she’s getting married near the museum. However, a famous playboy and son of a tech mogul, Jackson Valentine, ends up photobombing the photos.

Joanne accidently sends out the photo with Jackson and Luna to all the major press, implying that they’re engaged. The press hypes the story because Jackson is a name about whom people want to read. Meanwhile, Jackson is trying to receive good press because he would like to become a board member on his father’s company. Luna and Jackson decide to keep the illusion that they’re getting married, but will the truth come out and reveal they aren’t actually engaged? Also, will Luna be able to save the museum? Finally, will Jackson become a better man?
