Building on that success, Vincent Perez substitutes for the deceased Brandon Lee and takes the lead in THE CROW: CITY OF ANGELS. Equally evil and horrific as the first, with great amounts of occultism and violence, it is a dark, gloomy picture that should only attract fans of the first installment.

More Detail:

In THE CROW: CITY OF ANGELS Vincent Perez substitutes for the deceased Brandon Lee and to lead in the sequel to THE CROW. In this movie, Sarah, has grown to a young woman and has moved west. She is haunted by nightmares of a man and his son brutally shot and thrown into the sea. That man is Ashe . An occult leader, named Judah, was out on a routine murder when Ashe and his son rounded the corner. An actual crow returns the soul to Ashe , allowing him to rise from his watery grave and avenge his own murders. With the aide of Sarah, Ashe hunts down everyone involved in the crime. Finally, Ashe and Judah meet face to face for a battle to the death.

Based on a comic book, this series is not for moral Americans. First, the plot posits that crows carry the souls of the dead. Secondly, the movie suggests that crows can return the souls, if a major wrong was committed against the deceased. Thirdly, it shows that self-righteous vigilantism is the best form of justice. Fourthly, it is filled with drug use, obscenities, sexual dancing, sado-masochism, and occultism. Fifthly, even the good characters come from the seedy underbelly of society. Regrettably, the entertaining quality of the movie may build an even greater franchise for years to come.
