HACKSAW RIDGE Actor Proclaims ‘Repent and Believe’ to Followers

By Movieguide® Contributor

HACKSAW RIDGE actor Nathaniel Buzolic recently shared his thoughts on repentance after he visited the ancient city of Korazim.

“A 2,000 year old jewish town nestled in the hills of the north western region of the sea of Galilee,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “A people who were exposed to a great Light just as the prophet Isaiah proclaimed.”

Buzolic continued, “The people of korazim did not heed the words of Jesus or connect his mighty works to what the prophets & psalms professed. Korazim today is nothing but the ruins of what once was. Just as God had cursed the great city of Babylon through the prophets. So too Jesus will prophesy and tell the people of korazim that they lack of belief they refusal to repent would seal their fate. This town would face the consequences of rejecting the good news. Remember the book of Jonah – Repentance was the key for Nineveh. They repented and To Jonah’s distaste the city of Nineveh despite their sin would be spared.”

The actor then called the city “a witness to us all,” reminding us that “Jesus’ words ring true 2,000 years on.”

“We must learn from those who did not listen and make the choice to Repent & believe in the promised messiah who offered a new covenant,” Buzolic concluded. “A covenant that would be sealed in blood and offered to all for the salvation from our greatest enemy – sin.”

Buzolic frequently visits biblical landmarks. Movieguide® previously reported:

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, THE ORIGINALS and LEGACIES star Nathaniel Buzolic shared a picture from a recent visit to Galilee, celebrating his faith and the path God has laid out for him.

“The starting place with Jesus while in this world is always in humility – and in humility the believer will be blessed,” the actor captioned a photo of wooden boats floating on the Sea of Galilee.

“The ending place with Jesus while in this world is always persecution and in the persecution the believer will be blessed,” he continued. “We the believers of Jesus must humbly realize our ways are not God’s ways. And we the believers of Jesus Must come to realize a world which has been at Odds with God from the beginning must also be at odds with God’s people till the end.”

“We the believers will be tested, targeted and taunted if we choose to remain on the narrow path,” Buzolic warned followers. “Remember – no other path provides peace like the path that leads us to the prince of peace.”

“A morning on the Galilee can act as a simple reminder. We have another opportunity to walk in the spirit of the LORD. Jesus took His disciples out on these waters to soften hardened hearts,” he concluded.
