PAW PATROL 3 Set for 2026 Release

As the second PAW PATROL movie hits theaters, Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures reveal that a third installment is slated for a 2026 release.
“PAW PATROL remains in a class of its own as a beloved and recognizable cultural touchstone for kids and families everywhere,” said Ramsey Naito, president of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation. “Alongside our partners at Spin Master, we are so excited to continue to bring these pups’ big screen adventures to PAW PATROL’s legion of fans around the world.”
The original PAW PATROL movie was released in the summer of 2021 to a surprise performance, bringing in $144 million worldwide despite a struggling box office and a simultaneous release on Paramount+.
The movie drew an audience with its recognizable franchise and family-friendly content promoting strong morals. A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:
PAW PATROL: THE MOVIE has a strong moral worldview with light Christian imagery. It celebrates friendship, helping people in need and the idea of adoption. There are two politically correct cross dressing moments. In one, a dog says, “it’s not important how it looks; it’s how it makes you feel,” when a boy puppy accidentally dresses in girl’s clothes. Otherwise, however, PAW PATROL: THE MOVIE is a delightful animated feature of the popular TV program, with plenty of laughs and adventure.
The second movie in the franchise, PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE, picked up where the first left off, also emphasizing strong morals throughout the family-friendly film. A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:
PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE is a fun, action-packed movie for all ages. It has a strong moral worldview stressing sharing, selfless acts, courage, and the importance of family. It does have some scenes of cartoon action and peril, along with a scene about an orphaned pup that could bother younger viewers. Ultimately, THE MIGHTY MOVIE succeeds in showing that real power comes from sharing, loving one another and family.
While specifics about the third movie have yet to be released, it will likely follow the same themes and lessons as the rest of the franchise. This is especially true as the production teams behind the first two movies remain on for the third.
Unfortunately, a recent PAW PATROL spinoff show, RUBBLE & CREW, introduced a non-binary character. If the third movie wants to find success, it should emphasize the family-friendly values that made the first two installments so successful and reject LGBT themes.
“PAW PATROL has entertained generations of preschoolers while subtly teaching them the value of community, inclusiveness and teamwork,” said Jennifer Dodge, president of Spin Master Entertainment. “On the cusp of the premiere of our second, super-powered film, the universal love for our pups is stronger than ever.”
