Deion Sanders Encourages Followers to ‘Give Second Chances & Forgive’

Colorado Buffaloes head football coach, Deion Sanders, is reminding his followers to forgive others.

“Check your heart, not the consistency of the beat but your heart,” he posted on Instagram. “Do you show compassion, give second chances and forgive and live without reminding folks of their wrongs? If you don’t, that’s what I need you to do because that’s what God has done for you. Let’s go!”

Sanders frequently posts encouraging and motivational content on social media.

In a recent video, he discussed the importance of rejecting negativity.

“As I was concluding my workout, God gave me this for you,” the coach began. “Why do you continuously give negativity a microphone? Why do you give it a stage? Why do you give it admiration and adulation? Why do you give it a voice? Why do you give it a room with a comfortable mattress and a pillow, with nice sheets and blankets? Why do you allow negativity to have a say so in your life?”

“What about positivity? Barely has a hammock or a cot to lay in,” Coach Prime continued. “He’s been there all along. And he needs you. He needs you to feed it, to workout with it, to increase the strength thereof. Because right now, your negativity is strong. It’s like Superman. It’s like the Incredible Hulk. But your positivity is weak. Stop feeding your negativity and feed your positivity.”

“And let me tell you this: positive people are attracted to positive people,” he concluded. “Negative and positive don’t get along. They don’t walk together. They don’t dance together. They don’t play together. They don’t stay together. Positive people don’t have time to be negative. And negative people really don’t see any means for positivity. I don’t know about you, but I’m positive.”

Sanders frequently speaks about his faith and how it transformed his life, explaining how looking for satisfaction in fame and success was ultimately meaningless.

“It was something that I had to fix and I couldn’t fix it. I tried to pay it off, it wouldn’t go away. I tried to sex it up, it wouldn’t go away. I never use drugs or alcohol so I couldn’t medicate the pain. But I tried to do various things to see if it would go away. [I would] wake up and I still feel the same,” he said.

“Nothing helped me and delivered me and got me to the next day except for Jesus,” the coach continued. “I mean that was it when I said I surrendered. I gave my life to the Lord.”

Movieguide® recently reported on Sanders:

In a recent Instagram post, Sanders wrote, “Have patience with all things but first with yourself. I’ve read one minute of patience, ten years of peace. With love and patience nothing is impossible. Let’s try our best to exude patience with every opportunity we get. Let’s change the world little by little.”

“Patience is vital if you desire to understand life,” he captioned the photo.
