Is interest in God growing in Hollywood? It seems so.
Movieguide® host Kaelii Williams shared five stars who have turned their lives around and are now living for Christ.
“It’s no mystery that Hollywood has reputation for being a godless industry, perverted by selfishness and greed,” Williams began. “But is there hope for the rich and famous?”
“The Bible says it’s easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven,” she continued, referencing Mark 10:25, “but it also says that through Christ you can do all things” (Philippians 4:13).
Williams added, “There has been a revival sweeping through Hollywood, and more than a few influential figures have found here are our top five from Hollywood to Holy.”
Nala Ray, a former OnlyFans star, “came from sexual immorality, and she talked blatantly and argued about the lifestyle that she lived,” Williams explained.

But now “She openly talks against Only Fans after encountering Christ through scripture. Her transformation stunned both followers and her former fans.”
“The ones who are glamorizing [this lifestyle] are men trying to run women’s lives and take a percentage out of it, and it’s horrifying,” Ray said after leaving that lifestyle. “It’s truly horrifying to be a woman and have men take a percentage of you showing your body on the internet. It’s just like having a pimp…It’s truly horrific that it’s being advertised in that manner, but it makes me want to fight all the more to help women understand that this is not where you want to go.”
Mark Wahlberg, beloved by fans for his “Stay prayed up” Instagram posts, has a criminal past that only Christ could redeem.
“[He had] a trouble past, involving drugs, violence and even jail time,” Williams explained. Now, though, “Mark Wahlberg is a devout Catholic who attends Mass regularly. He starred in FATHER STU, a film about redemption. He credits his faith for his success and sense of peace.”
Pop icon Justin Bieber frequently finds his name in the news and has since he was young. Though people often speculate about his life, he remains rooted in Christ’s love and in his role as a husband and dad.
“Now Justin Bieber is a special case because he had a huge rising to stardom from a very, very young age,” Williams acknowledged. “Now, I give Justin Bieber a lot of grace because it’s not normal to have your childhood in the public eye, that kind of stardom, that kind of pressure, resulted in him falling into all kinds of temptations. But Justin Bieber had a praying mama, and he is now a loving husband, a devoted dad and a follower of Christ.”
“Grateful for a new day,” Bieber posted last month. “Grateful for Jesus he meets me every morning with forgiveness and love that I truly don’t deserve.”
“So grateful that he gives this love so freely, so graciously,” he added. “Wouldn’t be able to get thru the day without his love. It meets me at my lowest.”
Actor and comedian Russell Brand, a “self-proclaimed sex addict [and] drug abuser,” known for his “pretty raunchy” lifestyle, also experienced the dramatic life change that comes after giving your heart to Christ.
“He got baptized in 2024 and now he speaks about humility, prayer and biblical wisdom,” Williams shared.
Angela White, formerly known as Blac Chyna, is unrecognizable after finding a relationship with God.
“…known for being a model, reality TV star and an OnlyFans creator, she quit OnlyFans, removed demonic tattoos, was baptized and began using her platform to glorify Christ,” Williams explained. “Her demeanor, fashion and messaging radically changed. Many fans say she’s unrecognizable in the best way.”
White spoke about her sobriety on Instagram, saying, “God is good, forgiveness is key…every day is a fresh start.”
All of these stories are beautiful reminders that no matter how dark Hollywood may seem, God never stops working in people’s lives.
