“Marred by Some Strong Foul Language”

What You Need To Know:

NCIS: TONY & ZIVA on Paramount+ follows two popular characters from CBS-TV’s popular NCIS program, Tony DiNozo and Ziva David. Ziva has reunited with their daughter, Tali, but she’s still suffering PTSD anxiety from being on the run for four years from a Muslim terrorist. Her therapist thinks Ziva’s not ready to join Tony in marital bliss. However, in the first two episodes, Tony and Ziva are thrust together again when a rogue agent in Interpol steals money from Interpol and extorts money from a hospital. The rogue Interpol agent is a mysterious woman with a powerful computer hacking device. Tony and Ziva spirit their daughter away with her nanny to foil the rogue agent’s plans.

The first two episodes of NCIS: TONY & ZIVA continue the thrills and comedy that made NCIS so popular. They have exciting and sometimes funny action scenes with fighting, gun battles and jeopardy. However, the episodes miss the camaraderie of the rest of the NCIS team. They’re also marred by seven annoying, unnecessary strong obscenities and profanities. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution for TONY & ZIVA.

More Detail:

The first two episodes of NCIS: TONY & ZIVA on Paramount Plus follow two popular characters from CBS-TV’s popular NCIS program who run into a mysterious criminal group that used a hacking device to steal $100 million from Interpol and are now following a daughter and her nanny and targeting a hospital. The first two episodes of TONY & ZIVA continue the thrills and comedy that made NCIS so popular, but the episodes miss the camaraderie of the rest of the old team and are marred by several annoying, unnecessary strong obscenities and profanities.

The series opens with Tony trying to stop a team of thugs from looting more than $200 million from Interpol in Paris. Tony’s company has provided new security protocols for the international police group. However, a mysterious woman killed her way into Interpol’s computer sanctum. Now, she’s using a powerful hacking device to slowly bleed money from a $237 million Interpol account. Meanwhile, several armed people are holding Interpol’s first floor hostage.

At the same time, a series of flashbacks reveals that Ziva is still suffering PTSD from the four years she was running from a woman from a Hamas splinter group who was trying to kill her and her daughter. Tony had been caring for their daughter in Paris, but it’s been hard for Ziva to return to normal life by marrying Tony.

However, the bad guys are following Tony and Ziva’s daughter, Tali, and her nanny. Ziva goes into grizzly mom mode to spirit Tali and the nanny away from the bad guys, while Tony manages to foil the attack on Interpol. The bad guys are killed, but they get away with about half the money while the woman gets away with the hacking device.

However, Tony had put a tracker on the device. The tracker leads to a hospital, where the woman and more henchmen are trying to extort the rest of the $237 million. To save lives, it’s decided to let them have the money briefly. Tony tries to get the money back, but the rogue agent and the thugs turn the tables and escape. Meanwhile, the money stolen from Interpol was routed into Tony’s company’s account and then transferred out again. So, Henry’s friend Henry at Interpol thinks Tony is behind the theft.

So, the second episode shows Tony and Ziva trying to clear Tony’s name. With help from Tony’s employee, Claudette, they’ve locate the man who created the powerful hacking device, a Russian named Boris. Boris is with his fiancée in a rented house in Genoa, Italy. Unhappily, he doesn’t know the identity of the people who hired him to create the device, but he says there was a mean lady involved.

Suddenly, the mysterious woman appears from the first episode at the front door, waving an Interpol badge under the name Martine. She has with her a bunch of other Interpol agents. Boris says that’s the woman who hired him.

Tony, Ziva, Boris, and his fiancée flee in Boris’ fancy electronic car, “My Baby,” operated by voice commands. With Claudette’s help, they find an unoccupied house outside Milan to hide. At the house, Boris recalls another anonymous hacker who was hired by the rogue Interpol agent, Martine. Tony and Ziva take Boris’ self-driving car to meet the man in a small Italian town where he regularly gets desert for lunch. However, there’s a trap waiting for them.

The first two episodes of NCIS: TONY & ZIVA continue the thrills and comedy that made CBS-TV’s program NCIS so popular. They have exciting and sometimes funny action scenes with fighting, gun battles and lots of jeopardy. However, the episodes miss the camaraderie of the rest of the NCIS team when Tony and Ziva were part of the program. Sadly, the two episodes marred by several annoying, unnecessary strong obscenities and profanities. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution for TONY & ZIVA.
