Kathie Lee Gifford Prays for God’s Help to ‘Radiate Your Perfect Love’

Sometimes it’s hard to love those closest to us, let alone those who “persecute” us. But Kathie Lee Gifford is reminding her fans that with God’s help, we can love others the way He wants us to.
In an Instagram post, Gifford shared Romans 12:14-16, which reads, “Bless those who persecute you, and so not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.”
Gifford also offered a prayer for anyone struggling to love those around them.
“LORD, only You can give us this kind of love. We are not capable of it otherwise,” she prayed. “We want to live a life that pleases You, LORD. Please help us today to radiate Your perfect love to a desperate world.”
Many of Gifford’s followers shared their gratitude for the post.
“I really needed to read this today, so thank you for this. Been very down lately but my strong faith in the lord continues. I know he hasn’t forgotten about me,” one follower wrote.
“Yes, good one it’s all a learning process to learn to think and act as God does but to a lesser degree[.] obviously we are not God and do not have infinite intelligence, infinite consciousness or infinite energy,” another follower commented.
Gifford has spoken about how loving others reflects our relationship with God.
“When you walk with your Saviour God and best friend for as many years as I have, you start to long to be more like Him. And He set the standard for how we are to treat people. I think what we fail to do is we don’t listen as much as we should,” she said on the “Bible Connection” podcast.
“When you meet someone, love them, and then keep loving them until you no longer recognize the person that you met, because that’s what Jesus did. He transformed them by love,” she told Fox News.
