How Jesus Changed This WWE Star’s Perspective on Worldly Treasures

Hulk Hogan shared why he gave his life over to Jesus and how that decision has changed the course of his life and informed how he will live in the future.
“I’ve always been a believer, but I didn’t completely surrender,” Hogan told TBN. “I thought I could drive better than He could. I thought I could make the decisions better than He could. And, you know, He takes His hand off the wheels and goes okay, you think you can do it better? Go ahead and do it.”
“You know, you can blame situations, conditions, your rational can have a hundred different reasons why things happen, but at the end of the day, it’s about choices,” he continued. “And I’m not real good — or I wasn’t real good — at making good choices because of the environment and everything that was going on. And so, once I decided to quit driving the car myself and surrender, He took those mistakes I made, I learned from them, He taught me how to get up with this monster hit I just took and be honest and truthful and move forward.”
When Hogan turned his life back over to the Lord and allowed him to take control, he began to see changes and progress in areas that had been stagnant for years. For example, his ego had become sky high, but he began to see the Lord chip away and help him become more humble.
“I decided to turn back to my faith and one of the things that I did was put that crazy tattoo on my back ‘immortal.’ And, you know, I accepted Christ as my savior and He died for my sins and I’ll live forever and I put that on my back,” Hogan declared.
Hogan now lives for the Lord and uses the platform he was given to share the Gospel. Knowing where he came from, Hogan hopes that his story provides people with an example that shows that they can turn to the Lord without first cleaning up their act. While accepting the Lord into their life will cause change, they do not need to make the change happen before confessing Jesus is Lord.
“What’s gonna be important to me moving forward is being the vessel to spread this message because it’s the only truth there is,” Hogan said. “Everything else is temporary. Fame, the money, the ego, the physical look, everything is just temporary and once you get that and realize that, it’s so important that you make other people understand that that’s the only truth there is. So, moving forward, that’s the first and foremost thought on my mind is to be a messenger for my Lord and savior and that’s gonna take me where I need to go.”

Hogan took the step of baptism in December 2023.
About his baptism, he said, “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love.”
He reflected on the moment several months later, saying, “Once I was baptized, I felt all new. It really was a major pivot.”
“It’s given me the opportunity to prove that I’m faithful, that I’ll never make those mistakes again,” he added.
