UPtv’s Easter line-up is kicking off Sunday, April 13.
The line-up starts with an all-day marathon of THESE STONES, followed by THE THORN, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST and MARY, MOTHER OF JESUS.
SUGARCREEK AMISH MYSTERIES: BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE will have its first world premiere on Easter Sunday, April 20, at 7 p.m. ET.
Based on a Guideposts’ book series, the picture tells the story of Cheryl, a woman who just got out of a three-year engagement and wants an escape. She finds one when her aunt pulls her from Chicago to an Amish town called Sugarcreek. There, she finds a loving community and secrets that beg to be unraveled.
“Since 2012, UPtv has been the go-to destination for viewers seeking faith content during the Easter season,” said Hector Campos, senior vice president, content strategy and acquisition at UP Entertainment.
“We continue to be the premier home for Easter programming by offering a wide range of titles including Bible favorites that are must-watches every year, such as THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, as well as all-new premieres of uplifting series, a musical and movies such as THESE STONES, THE THORN and SUGAR CREEK AMISH MYSTERIES: BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE.”
Preceding BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE’s debut is an Amish movie marathon starting at 8:30 a.m.

Movieguide® reviewed the THESES STONES series, which starts off the Easter event. The review reads, “THESE STONES tells imaginative, well-acted stories…With each episode, THESE STONES shows Bible characters helping people in the real world, teaching them moral and spiritual truths about love, courage, faith, and peace.”
“The production values in THESE STONES are low budget, but the performances convey uplifting messages,” it continues. “MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution due to theological issues and scenes depicting and describing death.”
Viewers can get information about upcoming UPtv movies and specials on the My UPtv app. It includes features that can remind users when a certain show or movie is about to come on and allows them to “favorite” titles they can save for later.
Up Entertainment, which owns UPtv, prizes wholesome family entertainment.
“Most of our acquisitions are newer and not 50-year-old shows like some of the other networks that are out there doing family programming for people over 70,” said UP Entertainment CEO Charles “Charley” Humbard in October 2024.
About UP Entertainment’s future, Humbard said, “Positive and uplifting movies are a staple for us, but we’re also looking at opportunities now to really develop movies into series.”
Regardless of the film medium, UPtv aims to continue its tradition of inspirational entertainment for families across the nation.
