Justin Bieber shared an important message about how the Lord is all powerful through an Instagram post highlighting an excerpt from Psalm 139.

“Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your spirit? To be out of your sight? If I climb to the sky, you’re there! If I go underground, you’re there! If I flew on morning’s wings to the far western horizon, you’d find me in a minute — you’re already there waiting! Then I said to myself, ‘Oh, He even sees me in the dark! At night I’m immersed in the light!’ It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you,” Bieber shared on Instagram, quoting Psalm 139: 7-12.

These verses are very powerful reminders that bring comfort for Christians and are disparaging for evildoers. For Christins, no matter where we are or what we are facing, we can take solace knowing that the Lord is by our side and walks with us. As for evildoers, there is no escaping the Lord, and even in the pits of hell, He is aware of all happenings.

This reminder comes as Bieber continues to find comfort in his faith even as he faces pressures from the outside world. At the end of April, he shared how he rests knowing that the Lord fights his battles.

“The lion. I believe my God is my lion. My strong leader! Able to fight for me on my behalf. I believe wherever I am, He is…” Bieber wrote on Instagram. “Through the chaos, somehow God always brings me back to Himself.”

Like many celebrities, Bieber indulged in the things of this world for years after coming to fame. However, he found things like drugs and partying only left him empty. In searching for something more fulfilling, he eventually came to know the Lord, which has helped him find more peace and purpose in his life than anything else.

“There was a sense of still yearning for more,” Bieber explained in a GQ interview from 2021. “It was like I had all this success and it was still like: I’m still sad, and I’m still in pain. And I still have these unresolved issues. And I thought all the success was going to make everything good. And so for me, the drugs were a numbing agent to just continue to get through.”

“People cannot assign value, they can only recognize it,” Justin Bieber later added. “God is the only one who can assign value and if God says it, that settles it. You are valuable.”

As he continues his walk with the Lord, it is encouraging to see Bieber publicly share how his faith impacts him and inspire others to place their life in the Lord’s hands.
