Carolina Panthers guard Damien Lewis declared that Jesus Christ is the only person who can solve the world’s problems.
“The only person in history who can solve the world’s problems is Jesus Christ,” he wrote on X last week.

In fact, Lewis’ entire X page is filled with prayers, statements about Christ and Bible verses.
“Because of what the Bible tells us about the future, we know that we also need to ‘repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand,'” the guard wrote in a post on March 15. “We need to change our minds about how we become righteous and rely on God’s grace and Jesus’ saving work on the cross, not on our own works and efforts.”
“For those who have believed in Him, we have already been transferred to His kingdom, but because His kingdom isn’t here yet, because the King isn’t here yet, we need to set our mind on the things above where He is, rather than on the temporary things of earth,” he continued, referencing Colossians 1:13 and Colossians 3:1–4.
In another post from March 2, Lewis shared, “We don’t worry about worldly events as it says in the Bible, ‘And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.’ Hebrews 9:27-28.”
In November, the athlete and eight other family members were baptized together.
“God Saved 9 Souls From HELL!!! A walk of truth with God! I’m so happy and overly joyful that I got to do this with my family: my fiancé, my Father, my 3 Brothers, and 3 Cousins. Praise God: (Psalm 3:8 Victory comes from the Lord). What a mighty God we serve! Lift Him up, give all the praise and glory to God! We died with Christ and was resurrected. Get up out of that grave, you are alive! Immanuel= God is with us,” Lewis wrote on Instagram alongside a video of his baptism.
“It was a thief who walked into paradise the same hour as Jesus simply by believing,” he continued. “He had nothing more to offer other than his belief that Jesus was who He said He was. Just a naked dying man on a cross unable to even fold his hands to pray.”
We applaud Lewis for boldly using his platform to point his fans toward Jesus Christ.
