After a three-year hiatus, HGTV star Nicole Curtis’ REHAB ADDICT home renovation show is back for the summer!
“They said I couldn’t do it, they said it would never work. Who does she think she is ????” Curtis wrote in an Instagram post. “Well, I don’t have to think about who I am, I know who I am. The chick that started off in a Ranger Pickup truck, 2 dogs, small child and not more than $100 to my name that cleaned houses, sold garbage finds on the list of Craig, hustled real estate and started saving free houses set for demolition and turned it into this mega-hit globally-recognized show.”
She continued, “So, taking 3 years to build my own production company, develop my own shows and save 2 houses at the same time 1500 miles apart -walk in the park. Tune-in and see what I’ve been keeping secret and why I’m still as passionate as I was in Season 1 in 2010.”
Curtis has previously spoken about her return to HGTV. In a recent Instagram post, she described a chaotic period of time in 2022 that saw her traveling around the world in just a few days.
“Call it whatever you want, just one of those moments where I thought, ‘I need a change,’” she wrote. “The rest is history.”

She also spoke about the decision to PEOPLE, sharing, “I had a setback in my life that just rocked me to the core, and it was one of those moments where I thought, how do I get through this one?”
Curtis has decided to keep the details about this setback private for now but says it helped put her real priorities into focus.
“I prayed on it and it was just devastating for me,” she said. “I had to make a decision right there and then like, ‘Okay, we’re going to let this affect us for a very long time, or we’re going to pick it up and go.’”
Curtis also talked to the outlet about what they can expect from the latest season of REHAB ADDICT, saying “old school fans” will enjoy the episodes.
“I think that this season has the feel of Season 1, Season 2. The houses are smaller,” she explained. “We’ve done a lot of big projects over the years, and my lake house…that was like a bougie series. I’m building my million-dollar lake house. I was still saving an old house, but it wasn’t ‘Nicole Curtis on the brink of bankruptcy’ if this one doesn’t sell, like the old school ones.”
REHAB ADDICT fans can’t wait to see what Curtis has in store for these new episodes — and new renovation projects!
