Fox Just announced a new season of the hit show RUNNING WILD WITH BEAR GRYLLS, the first time new episodes of the show will be released since 2023.
“RUNNING WILD WITH BEAR GRYLLS combines epic adventure with intimate, human storytelling, which pairs perfectly with Fox’s premium unscripted slate,” said Michael Thorn, President of Fox Television Network. “Bear has a rare ability to push people beyond their comfort zones in ways that are both visceral and emotionally revealing, and this new season raises the bar – from breathtaking locations to the remarkable guests joining him on these unforgettable journeys.”

The show follows survivalist Bear Grylls and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars as they survive for 48 hours in some of the most beautiful destinations around the world. The new season will feature stars including Matthew McConaughey, Uma Thurman and Colman Domingo.
While not explicitly faith-based, taking people out into nature brought feelings of the divine into the show in the past. In 2023, for example, legendary footballer Dion Sanders shared how his relationship with the Lord is the only thing that has ever filled him.
“When I won my first Super Bowl, I was the first one on the bus, first one to bed,” Sanders revealed. “I didn’t even go to party. It was something missing inside, man. It wasn’t as fulfilling as I thought it was. It wasn’t about the things, the outward things, because I had power, money and sex. But it wasn’t fulfilling.”
The star went on the explain how this emptiness became even more apparent after a divorce, which caused him to attempt to take his own life. Now that Sanders is a coach and has the opportunity to pour into hundreds of lives, he encourages his players to root themselves in Christ and learn from his mistakes.
Meanwhile, Grylls has jumped into projects that are truly faith-based, such as a collaboration with THE CHOSEN and a series where he explored the key Biblical sites that Jesus visited in His day called JESUS: REFUGEE, RENEGADE, REDEEMER.
“It’s the series I am most proud of ever making, and I pray it will move people from every nation to kneel down and find home,” Grylls said of the latter show. “This has been an adventure for me like no other. When I heard the stories and the effect Christ had on people, I wanted to come where he lived and walked, and I wanted to find out what he was really like. Jesus is all about love and bringing us back to him. Refugee, Renegade, Redeemer are the parts of Jesus I have always loved. I want viewers to join the adventure!”
It is exciting to see Grylls continue to have success and the opportunity to do what he does best and lead others through the most incredible parts of creation for the enjoyment of audiences everywhere.
