Candace Cameron Bure shared some lessons about “joy and strength” she has learned over the years.

“Most of life happens in the small surprises and simple pleasures,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post, featuring several inspiring messages and photos of Bure over the years.

The FULL HOUSE actress reminded her followers that “nothing can hold you back” and that “no pleasure is too simple or too small,” from spending time “in nature” to being with family and friends.

“A heart that has dumped its load of bitterness is unhindered and free,” Bure continued, finishing with, “No new day is something to waste; we will never have another one exactly like it.”

Bure shares more of these kinds of messages in her devotional, 100 Days of Joy and Strength: Daily Devotions to Help You Find Overwhelming Peace on Busy Days.

“Devotionals are such practical ways, in very small steps, to just reconnect with God,” she told the Christian Post of the book. “I cling to these two words because the joy of the Lord is my strength — that comes from Nehemiah 8:10.”

Bure continued, “This book is for people who feel alone in their struggles. Life gives us challenges every day. It really is an encouragement to be able to just reset, renew our focus, and remind ourselves that God is with us. He never leaves us. He hears everything we talk to Him about.”

The actress also shared her hopes for the book, saying, “I hope it gives women so much encouragement to just stay the course and remind them that they’re not alone. Ever.”

In an interview with Fox News, Bure called 100 Days of Joy and Strength a “very practical, easy way to guide you into reminding you that you’re not alone.”

She also encouraged readers to make faith a part of their daily routine.

“It’s just a couple of minutes every day to remind you to renew your mind, to connect with God and what His word says and remind you that He is your joy, that your joy comes from Him and He also is your strength,” she said

Bure added, “You don’t have to do it alone. We can’t do it alone because we’re not really equipped, and we’re not ever good enough, but God is. And so we can draw from His strength and, in turn, that gives us our joy.”

Let’s turn to God and His strength today for our joy.
