The Hallow app just celebrated an incredible milestone. It passed one billion prayers prayed on the platform seven years after its launch.
“Guys, we just crossed a billion prayers prayed. What. That’s crazy. Had you told me that there would be a million prayers prayed on this thing, or a thousand prayers prayed on this thing I would have said you were crazy. A billion prayers; I don’t even know how to wrap my mind around that. Glory to God. All thanks to God. He is so good,” said Hallow co-founder Alex Jones. “And the crazy part is we incorporated Hallow…on June 21, 2018. Seven years later, to the day, we cross a billion prayers prayed.”
Hallow has had a crazy ride through the years, partnering with multiple high profile celebrities, making deals with top U.S. colleges, becoming the No. 1 app on the App Store and even airing a Super Bowl ad.
“The goal at Hallow has always been to reach out to as many folks as possible, both those who take their fath seriously and especially those who might have fallen away — and invite them deeper into a relationship with God,” Jones said when the Super Bowl ad was announced in September 2022.
The app invites users to connect with God through a variety of ways, including meditation, scripture reading challenges and, of course, prayer. Sometimes the prayer is focused on a specific event in the church calendar, such as Advent or Lent, and other times it is prayer for current events, such as wars or natural disasters.

“We have users like me, who have young families, and teenagers who want to build habits, and we’ve got folks who are retirees or who are nearing the end of their life who are trying to use that time to dive deeper into their relationship with God,” Jones said. “God can reach out to everybody at any stage of their lives.”
The incredible usage of the Hallow app comes as a spiritual revival continues across America. While all ages are experiencing it, this interest in God is especially common among younger Americans looking for something real in a world that’s proved empty.
Both fueling and being fueled by this revival is an influx of Christian media which largely began with THE CHOSEN. Since the show launched in December of 2017, dozens of high-quality Christians shows and movies have followed its path and helped millions of audience members connect more with their faith.
It is amazing how the Lord is working through modern day means, such as shows, movies and apps like Hallow. Praise be to God for 1 billion prayers on the Hallow app.
