REHAB ADDICT host Nicole Curtis wants to prioritize family this summer, so she will delay the release of the rest of the episode until this fall.

“I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until Fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice,” Curtis wrote on Instagram. “It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family + me) thought, why are we giving up Summer when we have the ability to do this in the Fall? Thank you to the powers at be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea.”

“Without a doubt, I, truly, am beyond happy with this decision as I just spent the day with a phone that was dead and had no worries about it,” she added.

While the decision to delay her show until the fall was sudden, Curtis’ decision to emphasize time with her family has been at the center of her life for years. Last November, she encouraged her fans to prioritize their kids over money because no amount of money can buy back the time you miss with your children.

“The best advice is [everyone else] can wait. Your children can’t,” Curtis previously told Fox News. “When we were first shooting the show, my son was in sixth grade. And I wasn’t chasing fame…I was chasing the money. I was chasing that money hard because I wanted a better life for us.”

“I don’t care what it is. You cannot put a check in front of me that is going to take time away from my family,” she continued. “So I think that’s absolutely the thing I would tell my younger self is that, you know what — you’ll figure it out. You’ll figure it out. And I did. [But] If I could get those years back, I would trade everything in a heartbeat.”

To help herself have a real say in her schedule so she would have the freedom to spend time with her family on her own terms, Curtis quit her show in 2022 to create a production company from the ground up. Though the project took three years, it has now offered her the freedom she desired and allowed her to bring her show back on air — with her at the helm.

“They said I couldn’t do it, they said it would never work. Who does she think she is ????” Curtis wrote in an Instagram post. “Well, I don’t have to think about who I am, I know who I am. The chick that started off in a Ranger Pickup truck, 2 dogs, small child and not more than $100 to my name that cleaned houses, sold garbage finds on the list of Craig, hustled real estate and started saving free houses set for demolition and turned it into this mega-hit globally-recognized show.”

“So, taking 3 years to build my own production company, develop my own shows and save 2 houses at the same time 1500 miles apart — walk in the park. Tune-in and see what I’ve been keeping secret and why I’m still as passionate as I was in Season 1 in 2010,” she continued.

Though there is not set date for REHAB ADDICT to come back on air, the show will return this fall, and the two episodes that have already been released will kick off the upcoming season once again, followed by brand new episodes.
