In a world where so many people chase fame and money, Tim Tebow reminded us that the most important thing is how we treat those around us.
“Don’t measure your life by what you make. Measure it by who you impact,” the former NFL player wrote on Instagram, adding, “Life isn’t just about chasing money. It’s about loving people well. At the end of the day, people won’t remember your paycheck. They’ll remember how you treated them. Work hard, but never forget: people matter more than profit.”

Tebow has long lived this principle out through his non-profit, The Tim Tebow Foundation which works to protect the world’s most vulnerable people. One of its most impressive initiatives is its Night to Shine event: a yearly celebration where people living with disabilities are shown the dignity and respect they deserve.
“At Night to Shine, I’ve seen what just one moment of love can do,” Tebow said after this year’s event. “It’s not about the red carpet or the crowns. It’s about someone finally realizing, maybe for the first time, they’ve always had worth. Why? Because they’re made in the image of God. Will we come together and not just share and express this worth once a year during Night to Shine, but every day share the love and value of people with disabilities and the vulnerable?”
Based on what the Bible says, he believes that the Lord created every person with a plan in mind, though we sometimes lives like we’ve forgotten that truth.
“I believe that every single person on this earth has a purpose. There’s a reason we all exist. There are things we were meant to do,” Tebow said. “And I think for me, what’s really important, and what’s sometimes very hard to do, is to focus on what matters. I think, sometimes, for us, as we go about our days, it’s just so easy to get caught up in the things that don’t matter. I wanted to encourage us to get back to the things that truly matter in life.”
As Tebow continues his amazing work, it is incredible how he not only fights to protect those who need it most in the world but also uses his platform to inspire others to do the same and focus on the things that are important, rather than allowing the world to distract us from them.
