After facing backlash for posting about the death of Charlie Kirk, viral Christian singer Forrest Frank encouraged those mad at him to get their hearts right with Jesus and believe that He is Lord.

“30,000 people unfollowed me because I posted about Charlie Kirk and I posted that Jesus Christ is Lord,” Frank said in a TikTok video. “Good. I don’t want you to follow me. I don’t want you to track my music. I don’t want you to come to my shows. I don’t want you to do any of that if you don’t get this one thing. And that is follow Jesus Christ, the King of all Kings, the Lord of all Lords, the One who is and the One who is to come.”

“He’s coming back real soon. So if you have not gotten your heart right with Him and dropped down on your knees and repented to Him, today is the day. The hour is at hand,” he continued. “I don’t know if you can feel it too, there’s a heaviness. Something shifted, and I don’t care. I don’t care anymore. I just want you to know that Jesus Christ is here and He loves you.”

i don’t care if you follow me, but i do care if you follow Jesus i have nothing else to share but this one message and i repent for ways i’ve allowed my platform to be a lukewarm highlight real. From here on out i’m using as much energy as i can to let people know about the only thing that matters.

The video that caused Frank to lose these followers was a TikTok he posted where he responded to Kirk’s assassination and spoke to the reality that many people in our country long for justice — the type of justice and restoration that will only come when Jesus returns. At the same time, Frank applauded Kirk for his openness about his faith and his boldness to bring Jesus into a conversation at every chance.

However, even after his death, Kirk has been demonized by many who disagreed with him politically and has been called many nasty things because he was rooted in the Bible and in Christian beliefs. Meanwhile, Frank has garnered an audience that spans across political beliefs, which is why he faced such backlash after praising the Turning Point USA founder.

Frank is not the only celebrity who has mourned Kirk’s death and praised his efforts since he was shot and killed while speaking at a college campus on Sept. 10.

“It’s been a hard day not only in our family, but all over the country. Charlie Kirk was one of the kindest, smartest and bravest people I’ve ever met,” country star Jason Aldean wrote on Instagram. “I’m honored to have met and spoken with him on a few occasions. He was a man of peace and wanted nothing but the best for our country and its youth. We might have lost Charlie today, but what he has done will live on forever. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, kids, and the entire Kirk family.”

“My heart is with Charlie Kirk’s family, and with the United States,” Arnold Schwarzenegger added on X. “Politics has become a disease in this country, and it’s deadly. But don’t listen to the pessimists who say there is no cure. There is a cure. It is inside of us. We must find our better angels and walk back from the extremes.”

It is encouraging to see Frank continue to be so bold about his faith and prioritize bringing people to Christ over how many followers he has on a certain platform. As he continues to help millions know the Lord better, it is good to know his heart is truly in the right place.
