Jordan Smith celebrated 10 years since he first auditioned on THE VOICE and the way his life has been forever changed by the show.

“Today is the TEN year anniversary of the day my blind audition aired and life changed forever,” he wrote. “I never could have dreamt in that moment where I would be all this time later, but what a ride it’s been. Thanks for walking out this wild journey with me! I couldn’t do it without all of you. Now, here’s to the next ten! Thank you Jesus!”

Though the singer spent his time on THE VOICE singing secular songs, he has gone on to become a powerhouse in gospel music, releasing four studio albums and becoming the show’s bestselling artist after ending their time on TV.

“When we wrote this song…I knew it was special. But I didn’t take a moment and stop and think about how special it was for me as an artist and the journey that I’ve been on since THE VOICE,” Smith said when releasing his first Christian song, “Great You Are.” “It’s really special for me to be able to have the moment to return my gift to the Lord and to point the glory back to Him. We are all just that; we’re reflections of God’s love to the world.”

Smith has joined multiple Christian music tours and has been floored by how powerful it is to worship with other believers night after night.

“Words can’t express the gratitude we feel,” Smith, Tauren Wells and Katy Nichole said in a joint post after their joint tour in 2023. “The joy we experienced. The love we received. Our first-ever This Is Jesus Christmas Tour exceeded all of our expectations. Every night of the tour, a handful of God’s children gathered for one purpose – to lift the name of Jesus and experience His love, His grace, His mercy, and His glory together.”

The gospel singer is currently working on his fifth studio album which is set to release next February. As he starts to tease singles from the album, it is clear this will be a very personal project, as one of the songs speaks directly to his testimony.

For example, the third verse of the song reads: “When I didn’t have a friend // I was lost and so far gone (yes I was) // But the blood came and found me // And it brought me back again.”

It truly is amazing just how much the Lord has changed Smith’s life in 10 years. Gospel music is better with him as a part of the industry as his voice has surely impacted millions of lives.
