Leanne Morgan has a brand new stand-up special coming to Netflix!
“The mother of all comedy specials,” a post from the Netflix comedy division’s Instagram announced. “LEANNE MORGAN: UNSPEAKABLE THINGS premieres November 4, only on Netflix!”
Morgan will tackle topics like motherhood, navigating her newfound fame, and the stresses of family vacations, all with her particular brand of Southern humor.

“I remember praying to the Lord, and saying what did I do that was so bad that this is my vacation now?” she joked in a teaser trailer for UNSPEAKABLE THINGS.
It’s not surprising Netflix wanted another comedy special from the clean comedian. Her first special, I’M EVERY WOMAN, is Netflix’s “most viewed comedy special by a woman comedian since the beginning of 2023,” per The Hollywood Reporter.
Morgan and Netflix signed a three-project deal, and the comedian revealed her third special will be out sometime in 2027.
In addition to her stand-up specials, Morgan also has a sitcom on Netflix, titled LEANNE. While her character shares her name, Morgan was quick to explain that LEANNE is not autobiographical.
“That was Chuck [Lorre’s idea],” she told THR, referring to the show’s co-creator. “He didn’t want to base it on my real family, and he liked the idea of starting over because it’s a theme that people can relate to.”
Morgan was initially worried about people not liking the show, telling THR, “I’ve texted everybody I know that’s had a TV show, like, ‘What if people don’t like it?,’” but no worries: LEANNE has already been renewed for a second season!
“I am so grateful to all the writers, producers, Netflix, WB, our amazing cast, and especially for all the fans of the show,” Morgan said in a statement. “Y’all did this for us, and we can’t wait to be back!”
Lorre added, “Much thanks and gratitude to Netflix for this amazing opportunity. Congrats to Leanne and the entire cast and crew. This has been an incredible journey that began with a visit to Knoxville, Tennessee. Leanne Morgan is the whole package. A comedic genius, a warm, loving human being, and an absolute joy to work with.”
Movieguide® gave LEANNE a positive review, praising the sitcom for its “humorous and heartfelt” themes, as well as Morgan’s comedic skills and the “strong supporting cast.”
“I’m a mama from Knoxville, Tennessee, and this happening for me, it’s a miracle and a blessing,” Morgan told People of her major success. “And honey, I still don’t believe it.”
