This Grammy Winner Encourages: God Gave You a Gift, So Use It

Singer CeCe Winans believes that everyone has a God-given gift that they can share with others.

“Little becomes much when you give it to the Father,” she explained on an episode of BETTER TOGETHER. “Whatever you have, you pour it out, God multiplies it, you know…I think there are a lot of empty places that God is waiting on us to fill.”

“But you gotta pour out what you have,” she continued. “So a lot of women who feel like, ‘Well, I don’t have children,’ you have the anointing. You have something to give.”

She said anyone can pour into others and share wisdom with them, and God will use it for His good.

“You’re always useful. Everybody has something that God wants to use,” Winans said. “So don’t ever think you don’t have something to give.”

“And when you give it to God, when you pour out what you have, God will multiply it,” she finished.

At an awards show earlier this year, Winans shared that God gives everyone gifts, but it’s more important to focus on who’s giving them — God — than the gifts themselves.

“It’s so important that you understand who you are in Christ because there’s gifts everywhere, spectacular gifts that God has given us. But when you understand that it’s not about the gift, it’s about the giver first and then giving God everything that you have,” she explained.

And “understanding that whatever God has given you is enough,” she finished.

Winans recently re-recorded “Christmas is all in The Heart” with Steven Curtis Chapman this month. The two recorded the song three decades ago but thought it was time to record it again.

“I got to record this song 30 years ago with the one and only @cecewinans…” Chapman shared on Instagram Friday. “And somehow, by God’s goodness and grace, I got to sing and record it again all these years later with that same amazing lady who still has one of the most beautiful hearts and voices of anyone on the planet!”

This year for Christmas, CeCe and her sisters, Angie Winans and Debbie Winans, are singing for her “Christmas with CeCe Winans” tour. The tour starts Dec. 10 in Austin, Texas, and runs to Dec. 19 in Newark, New Jersey. Their dates in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Boston, Massachusetts, are already sold out.
