When she finds a buyer, Ally travels home to finalize the deal, where she meets Bennett, the shop manager. He’s against selling and urges Ally to prioritize the connection the store’s cards bring over profits. While they argue, a storm hits, and a lightning strike sends Ally and Bennett back to 1945, where they meet a young Joy.
Ally decides to urge Joy to sell the shop to an investor so she won’t struggle for the rest of her life. However, as she grows closer to the younger version of her grandmother, Ally begins to question if selling the shop is really the right thing to do.
