Cory Asbury shared why he believes that God is making major moves with the younger generations despite a general belief that young Americans want less and less to do with Christianity every year.

“God’s doing something special [right now], y’all 🤯🤯,” Asbury wrote on an Instagram post where he shared a video of a teenager being surrounded by his football team while being baptized.

God has been on the move with teenagers and college kids in recent years through a variety of means. Starting with the Asbury revival in 2023, America has seen multiple moments in the past three years where hundreds of thousands have come to know the Lord in a short time.

Faith is spreading like fire on college campuses and college athletes who are given a major platform by their sports are using their voice to share the Gospel. Last year’s National Championship winning Ohio State football team was so on fire for the Lord that ESPN announcers mentioned it specifically during their broadcast.

The most recent revival event to have taken place was in response to the death of Charlie Kirk who was a very strong Christian and rooted his beliefs in his faith.

“His death has sparked what’s being called the Charlie Kirk effect, a surge of young adults testifying that Charlie’s courage in standing up for his faith has them going back to church for the first time in years,” CBN reported. “People that didn’t even know Charlie Kirk were moved by this. And you wonder why that was exactly. Well, look, I think we’re in a spiritual battle, and I think people are searching for the truth. And I think Charlie Kirk was speaking about things of God.”

Asbury is not the only Christian artist to find hope in the younger generation as he has seen firsthand just how much they care about their faith. During a Fox broadcast of a Christmas tree lighting in New York City, Chris Tomlin shared a similar sentiment about revival taking root in America.

“There’s an awakening going on in our nation and I really think people are longing for truth,” Tomlin told Fox News. “We have so much coming at us, so much information coming at us from the left and right. What is true? People are longing for what’s real, they’re longing for peace, forgiveness; the things of Jesus. And this Christmas season, that’s what we celebrate.”

It is truly incredible to see how the Lord in moving in America and bring real faith back to our country after decades of the public moving away from Christianity and its teachings.
