After seven days and 84 consecutive hours of uninterrupted Scripture, America Reads the Bible concluded Saturday with the final words of Revelation proclaimed inside the Museum of the Bible and streamed nationwide on Great American Pure Flix.

Nearly 500 voices — pastors, worship leaders, entertainers, public servants and families — read the Word of God aloud from Genesis to Revelation during America’s 250th anniversary year. Millions engaged from homes, churches and communities across the country.

The format was intentional and reverent: no commentary, no debate, just simply reading Scripture in the nation’s capital.

From the beauty of creation in Genesis 1 to the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5, from Jesus’ prayer for unity in John 17 to the promise of Revelation 22, the Word was lifted up faithfully before the nation.

“This week was about honoring God and His Word in the heart of our nation,” said Bunni Pounds, Founder and President of Christians Engaged. “We prayed that as Scripture was read aloud, the Holy Spirit would stir hearts. Seeing families pause, worship, and respond has been deeply humbling. We believe it is the start of an awakening back to simple Christianity that will impact our nation for years to come.”

For Great American Media, the week was not a single event but part of a broader cultural commitment.

“We believe God’s Word is not secondary to culture, it shapes culture,” said Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media. “America Reads the Bible wasn’t an experiment. It reflected who we are and who we serve. There is a strong, engaged audience in this country that wants programming grounded in faith, family and love of country.”

He added, “It was a privilege for Pure Flix to carry every word of Scripture into homes nationwide. But more than the broadcast itself, what matters is that families paused and listened together. That is lasting impact.”

The conclusion of America Reads the Bible does not mark the end of the moment, it marks the beginning of a broader cultural effort. Alongside the weeklong Scripture reading, Great American Media has launched America Sings the Anthem, a nationwide invitation for families, churches and communities across all 50 states to submit their renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner” as the country approaches its 250th anniversary.

Where America Reads the Bible centered the nation on Scripture, America Sings the Anthem lifts up shared heritage. Together, they reflect the same conviction: that faith and love of country are not separate conversations but deeply connected threads in the American story.

The anthem initiative is not structured as a competition, but as a celebration, encouraging families to gather on front porches, in sanctuaries and in town squares to honor the freedoms secured by past generations. Selected performances will be featured across Great American Media platforms, reinforcing the belief that patriotism and faith can be expressed with dignity, gratitude and unity.

As the company marks five years since its founding, these parallel efforts make its mission unmistakable. Great American Media is not experimenting with values-based programming, it is building around them. By lifting up Scripture in the nation’s capital and inviting Americans to raise their voices in patriotic tribute, the company is affirming that faith, family and country are not niche ideals, but foundational principles worth preserving and celebrating.

Faith. Family. Country.
Not a trend. A commitment.
