Most Americans, 57%, agree “it is necessary to believe in God in order to be moral,” but 99% agree with that statement in Egypt, 84% in Turkey, 82% in Nigeria, and 66% in India.
In contrast, only 30% of adults in Canada believe this, 22% in Britain, 17% in France, and 10% in Sweden.
