Ten conservatives on the Texas Board of Education corrected faulty history and economics textbooks recently by stressing the benefits of America’s free market capitalist system, showing students the Christian heritage and Christian worldview of most of the Founding Fathers, and making sure students learn about the conservative resurgence in the 1980s and 1990s.
The rulings by the board will affect the rest of the country, because Texas is one of the largest buyers of textbooks, despite the Digital Age in which we live.
“We are adding balance,” said Dr. Don McLeroy, the leader of the conservative faction on the board. “History has already been skewed. Academia is skewed too far to the left.”
The board also rejected the unconstitutional notion of the separation of church and state. It also ruled that students should learn how to contrast the violent philosophy of the Black Panther Party with the nonviolent approach to civil rights espoused by the Rev. Martin Luther King.
The conservatives on the Texas Board of Education are an example to emulate. Please help MOVIEGUIDE® redeem the values of the mass media, which creates the culture by overcoming evil and mendacity through the promotion of the Good and the True.
