Matthew West revealed when his next book will be released and help readers lean on prayer in every situation in their life to find strength through the Lord.
“So you guys know that I write not just songs, but I write books too, right? Did you know that? And so, I finished my next book, and here it is, it’s called Don’t Stop Praying,” West said. “Who’s excited for this? Don’t Stop Praying: The God Who Hears is Just a Breath Away, and it’s broken out into 40 chapters; like 40 days of prayer. And I can’t wait for you guys to read this book. It comes out on February 3.”

West has long used his platform to encourage his fans to connect with god in a personal relationship. While he writes songs that aid in this process, he knows that it is only when Christians seek out the Lord through practices like reading their Bibles and regular prayer that their faith can become real. Earlier this year, he encouraged his followers to make prayer the foundation of their marriage so everything would be brought before the Lord.
“The things that go without saying should still be said. Like, you know, putting Jesus at the center of your marriage and making sure your spouse knows you’re praying for them,” West said when discussing the most important parts of a healthy Christian marriage. “Those are foundational pieces, there’s no doubt about it.”
As he has looked for examples of prayer warriors in the Bible, one of West’s greatest inspirations is Daniel and his refusal to allow others to decide whether or not he could pray to the Lord.
“Daniel and the Lion’s den. God shut the mouth of the lions and protected Daniel because Daniel was brave,” West previously explained. “He said I’m not gonna stop praying. So, I want to encourage you and say, Don’t stop praying. Like Daniel did. Keep praying just like Daniel did.”
His upcoming book is not the only way that West is helping his fans connect with the Lord. He is also in the middle of his “Come Home for Christmas” tour where he is helping audiences center themselves on the Lord and see the true meaning of Christmas amidst the sometimes chaotic season.
“This Christmas, if you feel lost, it’s not too late. God is waiting for you to turn around,” West said in a promotion for the tour. “You don’t have to earn your way back. You just have to come.”
While his music has helped millions connect with the Lord and grow deeper in their faith, it is amazing to see the other ways West works to help his audience take their faith more seriously. Don’t Stop Praying will be released on February 3, 2026.
