BLUE BLOODS’ Erin Reagan, played by Bridget Moynahan, guest starred in BOSTON BLUE’s May 1 episode.

In the police serial’s episode, “L’dor Vador,” “Danny teams up with a familiar ally in a tense race against time. Meanwhile, health scares and long‑kept family secrets surface, forcing members of the team to confront personal truths,” the synopsis reads.

Erin, who is a district attorney, confronts a man accused of kidnapping, rape and murder.

“You are not gonna slip through our fingers this time,” she tells him.

When the killer confirms that he is a kidnapper, Erin’s brother, Danny Raegan, slams him against a wall.

Moynahan previously appeared in the spinoff series in September, when it first premiered. Other BLUE BLOODS characters have appeared, including Detective Maria Baez and Henry “Pop” Reagan, PEOPLE reported.

Also in the episode, Detective Lena Silver learns who her biological dad is, and it turns out he is also in law enforcement. Other Silver family drama ensues, including health scares and a near confrontation, another PEOPLE article hinted.

Donnie Walhberg, who plays Danny, had to convince Moynahan to join BLUE BLOODS in the first place.

“As I read BLUE BLOODS, I got offered the part of Danny Reagan and I couldn’t imagine anyone in the world playing my sister besides her,” Wahlberg said. “When I called her to ask her to do it, she said, ‘I already passed on that job.’”

He added that she is “one of the unsung heroes” of BOSTON BLUE. “She gave a real honest conversation and it was no ego involved. It was just my friend and sister talking to me about it and challenging me.”

GHOSTBUSTERS star Ernie Hudson, 80, who plays Reverend Edwin Peters in the show, recently said he hopes to do all his own stunts in future episodes.

“I loved when I got the chance to throw a punch in the show. They brought a stunt guy in and I’m like, ‘Why is he here?’ And they said, ‘Because you have to throw the punch.’ I was like: ‘Guys, I think I can do that. I’m not THAT old,'” Hudson told UPI.

“Throughout my 60 years acting, I’ve always believed that you can’t wait to get ready. You always have to sort of stay ready and stay in some kind of shape,” he said.

He prefers to stay prepared and in shape so that he can be ready for anything.

He said, “I’ve never allowed myself to really put on a lot of weight or take off a lot of weight. I’ve always tried to be ready. But, definitely, I can throw a punch.”

The next episode will air Friday at 10 p.m. ET. It streams the next day on Paramount+.
