Excitement is building for animal lovers everywhere in anticipation for the PUPPY BOWL XIX and GREAT AMERICAN RESCUE BOWL airing this Sunday.
PUPPY BOWL XIX will happen this Sunday, marking the event’s nineteenth year raising awareness about the importance of pet adoption.
The event will feature 122 puppies from 67 shelters and rescues across America.
“There’s just so many animals in need right now, and hopefully this will get people more interested in rescuing and adopting,” Kiara Cnota, Lead Foster Coordinator at One Tail at a Time shared. Two dogs from One Tail at a Time will be competing in the Puppy Bowl.
“We have a dog for everyone,” Cnota continued. “Just let us know what you’re looking for, and hopefully we can find you a match.”
The broadcast will also have “Pup Close and Personal” segments, telling the viewers about some of the special needs animals looking for homes.
Another exciting part of the event is the addition of the GREAT AMERICAN RESCUE BOWL sponsored by Great American Family. This event will replace Hallmark’s KITTEN BOWL, which was canceled last year.
The GREAT AMERICAN RESCUE BOWL will also feature animals available for fostering and adoption, including dogs, puppies, cats and kittens.
“As animal homelessness continues to be widespread throughout the country, we couldn’t be more proud to welcome GREAT AMERICAN RESCUE BOWL to Great American Family,” Bill Abbott, president and CEO of Great American Media shared. “By highlighting these heartwarming adoption stories and the lifesaving work of North Shore Animal League America, we hope this national rescue adoption event will inspire viewers to visit their local shelter and adopt a loving pet.”
The GREAT AMERICAN RESCUE BOWL airs at 7:30 a.m. PT/10:30 a.m. ET Sunday, Feb. 12, on the Great American Family Channel, while PUPPY BOWL XIX airs at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 12 on Animal Planet, Discovery Channel and TBS.
