Fox’s biblical drama THE FAITHFUL has finalized the cast for the series’ final installment.

Millie Brady, Blu Hunt, James Purefoy, Will Stevens and Taylor Napier will all appear in the third and last installment of THE FAITHFUL, with Tom Payne reprising his role as Jacob.

Per Deadline, “Brady plays Leah, the eldest daughter of Laban. Hunt portrays Rachel, the free-spirited and fiercely ambitious younger daughter of Laban and sister of Leah. Purefoy is Laban, the patriarch of a complicated household and the older brother of Rebekah. Stevens portrays temperamental Birham, who, much like his father Laban, prefers fun over tending the flock.”

These new actors join already-announced cast members Minnie Driver as Sarah, Jeffrey Donovan as Abraham, Natacha Karam as Hagar, Alexa Davalos as Rebekah, Tom Mison as Isaac and Ben Robson as Esau.

Per the official logline of THE FAITHFUL, the show is “a faithful dramatization of the Book of Genesis as told through the eyes of the courageous and passionate, yet flawed women whose descendants would shape the future of faith as we know it today.”

“Dimensional, dramatic, intimate, even surprising, THE FAITHFUL is about discovering and losing love, the challenges of marriage, the joys and heartbreak of children, confronting temptation, and finding faith,” the synopsis concluded.

Another description of the show goes deeper, sharing, “THE FAITHFUL unfolds through the interwoven stories of five legendary women of the Bible’s Old Testament whose lives were marked by quests for independence, deep-seeded desires and the desperate need for something far greater than they have ever known…Through longing, sacrifice, and perseverance, these women leave an enduring imprint on a story much bigger than their own.”

In a statement about THE FAITHFUL, Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn said, “THE FAITHFUL follows the Old Testament’s heroic, biblical matriarchs and opens a new lane of storytelling at Fox. This show is the definition of strong, female character-driven storytelling, exploring timeless themes that originated thousands of years ago, yet remain startlingly modern and relatable.”

“Carol [Mendelsohn, executive producer], Julie [Weitz, producer] and Rene [Echevarria, writer and showrunner] bring unbelievable depth, dimension, intimacy and surprise to stories so many think they know but will completely rediscover through this powerful new lens,” he continued.

Mendelsohn is known for her work on the CSI franchise, while Echevarria worked on shows like THE 4400 and CARNIVAL ROW.

THE FAITHFUL is set to air over three consecutive weeks next spring, with the final episode debuting on Easter Sunday.
