Broncos WR Declares ‘We Serve an Amazing God’ After Win

The Denver Broncos are on a roll after a 4-game winning streak against the Packers, Chiefs, Bills and Vikings.
To seal the win against the Minnesota Vikings, quarterback Russell Wilson threw to wide receiver Courtland Sutton with 1:03 left in the game.
After the game, Sutton gave all the glory back to God during an interview with NBC.
“We serve an amazing God. To be able to come out here and showcase the abilities that He’s given us is amazing. All I want to do is come out here and let my light shine as bright as I can,” Sutton said.
Sutton has played in the NFL for six years and hasn’t shied away from sharing his faith.
On his X page, he declares, “God fearing man on a mission. what’s next?”
His Instagram bio says he is “living and loving life with God in command!”
Sutton shared his post-game interview on his social media and wrote, “Be Bold and Courageous ✊?#grateful.”
Sutton’s first post on Instagram features a photo of him praying on the field with Romans 4:20-21, which says, “Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”
After his rookie season in 2018, Sutton told Sports Spectrum that his tenacity to work hard comes from 1 Corinthians 15:10, which reads, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them — yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
“I think that you got to carry your cross every day,” he said. “That’s one thing I’ve told a lot of people. You got to make sure that you’re carrying your cross. You don’t have to be a guy who’s just throwing the Bible at people. … You don’t have to be a person who’s sitting there impacting millions of people. It can take one person that you impacted that day and you’ve done what you’re supposed to do. So, to be able to have that and to use that in my platform is really important.”
