Candace Cameron Bure Celebrates 36 Years of FULL HOUSE

By Movieguide® Contributor

Candace Cameron Bure celebrated the 36th anniversary of FULL HOUSE with an Instagram post commemorating her iconic role.

“That Friday feeling 🙌🏼 – flashback to finding the DJ wedding dress ✨,” Bure wrote. “Today also marks 36 years since becoming DJ Tanner, what a ride! So blessed!”

On her Instagram story, Bure added, “I love reading through all your comments and how much FULL/FULLER HOUSE has meant to you over the years. Happy 36 years to DJ TANNER!!”

Bure first began her iconic role as the oldest sister when FULL HOUSE debuted in 1987. She remained with the show for the entirety of its 8-season run.

In 2016, Bure reprised the role, playing a grown-up D.J. on the FULL HOUSE revival FULLER HOUSE. During the 5-season run, the grown up D.J. raised three kids of her own.

Since FULLER HOUSE ended in 2020, Bure has been busy. She joined Great American Media last year as its Chief Content Officer and also launched her podcast, the Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, which just launched its fourth season.

Movieguide® previously reported:

Actress Candace Cameron Bure is known for living out an authentic Christian faith — something that’s generally perceived as a rarity in Hollywood.

Bure has worked and thrived for years in Tinseltown without compromising her values. The actress recently told “The Pure Flix Podcast” that living her beliefs out comes totally naturally.

“My faith is just my life, it’s a part of it. It naturally flows from me, and I feel like I’ve navigated my entire career differently than most people have,” she said. “The goal for me isn’t necessarily the next project or making more money or being a bigger star. I’ve always chosen the things that are true to me and that I’ve wanted to do.”
