Candace Cameron Bure Spreads Gratitude Across Social Media: ‘Change Your Day’

By Movieguide® Contributor

FULL HOUSE actress Candace Cameron Bure is following through on her commitment to create a “wave of gratitude” across social media.

“Gratitude has been so important to me and really changed my day-to-day life. Waking up and being grateful for where I am in the present. But then consciously thinking of things throughout the day that I’m grateful for,” Bure told Fox News Digital.

“So, I’ve used social media as a platform to have everyone catch the wave of gratitude because it really can change your perspective,” she continued. “It can change your day. And sometimes when we’re kind of sitting in what can feel like a bad day or some tough circumstances, sometimes thinking about the things that are positive around us can bring us hope.”

“I’m a pretty positive person,” she added. “I’m the glass half full kind of gal. And I always like to spread that positivity.”

Earlier this month, Bure explained the gratitude challenge on Instagram. The actress would share three things she’s grateful for and then tag three friends to do the same. She encouraged her followers to do something similar.

In her first post, she wrote, “JOIN IN and ride the wave of gratitude with me as we enter into this season of thanksgiving. It’s amazing how just starting your day with gratitude can change your entire perspective in general.”

“My first 3 things I am grateful for are…A job that I love…Incredible food that I get to enjoy, mainly made by my husband…THIS COMMUNITY,” Bure shared.

For her most recent post, she shared her gratitude for “my salvation…my fiddle leaf figs George and Georgina…fitness and being able to move my body.”

“It’s the week of Thanksgiving where gratefulness should come naturally to us, but that’s not always the case is it? While we all rush around finalizing our recipes, getting our house cleaned for guests, and setting the dinner table, we tend to forget to stop, breathe, and GIVE THANKS,” she added.

“I truly am grateful for my family,” Bure added. “I’m so blessed to have an amazing husband and three children, but also incredible parents and sisters and a brother and extended family. My family’s very, very close, and I don’t take it for granted. I know not all families look like that.”

The actress also said that her family are all “people of faith, which is even more incredible to me knowing that we’re going to spend eternity together.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Bure’s commitment to gratitude:

In a recent Instagram Story, Candace Cameron Bure got vulnerable with her followers as she cried over the “state of the world.”

“Do you ever scroll through Instagram and just get sad at the state of the world?” the actress said. “That’s me right now.”

Even as she teared up, Bure let her fans know that she works on practicing gratitude and encouraged her fans to do the same.

“I’m going to think of the things that I am grateful for, and I am grateful for God, Lord Jesus Christ, who’s in control of all of it,” she explained. “I’m grateful that He’s already given all of us and me the ability to be justified before Him and be sanctified throughout the process of my life and that He redeems it all at the end.”
