Hollywood Couple’s Sermon Takeaway Could Transform Your Family

Actors Carlos and Alexa PenaVega shared a lesson they recently learned to help them align their vision with Christ and find fulfillment in their lives.
“Our biggest takeaway from church this weekend is how important it is to cast vision for your family or anything else you’re doing— and be aligned with your identity, values and beliefs,” the pair wrote on Instagram. “Making decisions will be so much easier. [We] believe that without that alignment…it simply won’t work. Money can only keep the train running for so long. ‘Without vision people perish.’”
“Some extra notes worthy of sharing! ‘Am I in the process or am I in the promise?’ Sometimes we live thinking the process is for us. Not ever making it into what God has promised us,” they continued. “Don’t live at the border of the promise.”
Since they’ve been together, the PenaVegas have been candid about their faith and how they live a Christ-led life. This lesson is one of many they have shared with their fans to help them in their own walks with the Lord.
The couple helps their children learn what it looks like to follow Christ in a similar way — by talking about faith with them and incorporating time with the Lord into their schedules.
“Obviously, we talk about stories of the Bible. That’s fun and exciting. But I think the biggest thing is, what does the relationship with God look like? Because there’s learning about the Bible, but then there’s real relationship,” Alexa told Fox News Digital last November.
“The best way I could teach them about faith was just operating in my faith in front of them,” she continued. “I pray out loud all the time. I’ll be cooking, and they’ll hear mama talking to God. I will be cleaning, and they will hear me talking to God. And it’s really great because it’s gotten them to a place where they know they can go to God for absolutely anything and everything.”
It’s inspiring to see a pair from Hollywood have such a strong faith.

Carlos PenaVega, who got his big break in entertainment on BIG TIME RUSH, shared why he believes that their relationship started in a healthy spot.
“We were very fortunate that when we started our relationship, we had both met at a Bible study. For me [it] was my first time in Bible study [and] Alexa was going through a lot and she hadn’t been to one a long time.”
Carlos continued, “We got to reignite our love for God together at the same time.”
